We do this by supporting our customers through workshops, trainings and experimentation days to share best practices for technical implementation and strategic programme planning, which will turn them into Optimizely fans for life! As an Engagement Manager for the EMEA Experimentation Services team, your role will be to project manage the onboarding and implementation phase for our clients, whilst providing support throughout on how to engage with our team. The role blends together client relationship management, project management and knowledge of the tool to help our customers be successful no matter their industry, size or maturity.   

Job Responsibilities

  • Be the Engagement Manager and Main Point of Contact for a book of business of approximately 40 customers in the EMEA region 
  • Drive the engagements forward, monitor progress and report on project health and risk throughout the duration of the engagement 
  • Work very closely with the Solutions Architecture and Strategy Consulting teams to ensure a cohesive and successful delivery throughout the engagement 
  • Become a trusted partner for your customers to lean on in order to grow out their programme 
  • Create custom engagements and project plans for each of your customers providing a tailored, one-of-a-kind experience in each instance 
  • Support the sales team in scoping out custom onboarding engagements for strategic and enterprise customers 
  • Support for the success team in scoping out additional engagements for customers and identifying areas of opportunity for these engagements 
  • Supporting the global EM manager in the implementation of operational changes and practices for the services organisation 
  • Driving the P&L of our Services team in EMEA by forecasting project close out and completions, pushing team involvement in engagements, and driving services sales

Knowledge and Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in a client-facing project management or consulting role 
  • Strong consultative skills; being able to listen to a customer's requirements and draw agreed upon conclusions from this  
  • Strong organisation skills, and being able to spin many plates at once 
  • Experience in creating and tracking against project plans 
  • Experience in presenting to customers and executives 
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical and business concepts to non-technical audiences 
  • Comfortable scoping and selling additional engagements 
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytic skills 
  • Experience working as part of a cross functional team (including sales, engineering, marketing and product) 
  • Personable, enthusiastic and love to talk to people!  
  • Ability to travel around Europe if required for customer visits and on-sites

Education

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or eqivalent work experience
