Introduction

We are looking for a creative, collaborative, and data-oriented developer marketing manager to establish a presence within the developer community in order to promote the capability and flexibility of the Optimzely products across the globe. You will be moderating and supplying relevant information about new launches and features available to technical audiences. In addition, you will help define and execute Optimizely’s relationship with developer’s through messaging, outreach, and programs.  The ideal candidate will have hands-on developer marketing experience in a SaaS company or a developer turned marketer. They will be self-motivated and have demonstrated ability to perform at a high-level in previous professional experience. This role will work cross-functionally with different departments in marketing and be a GTM partner to our sales, product, and customer success organizations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design community tools and services to facilitate the growth and engagement of developers Identify and defining the landscape of online developer marketing channels and proposing strategies to utilize them.
  • Educate developers on Optimizely's technologies and product offerings Identify, acquire, and nurture an ecosystem of developers that build environments with Optimizely's technologies
  • Help produce developer-focused events such as meetups, hackathons, etc.
  • Work with our partner network to gather insights and feedback to better understand their needs Provide actionable feedback to product and engineering teams.
  • Maintain a strong and credible presence in social media and technology channels relevant to developers to communicate any new features, updates, and/or changes to our products.
  • Assist in developing cross-functional launches, coordinating the efforts of engineering, sales, marketing, PR, and operations.
  • Develop internal and external messaging, partner and customer enablement, and integrated campaigns and nurture programs for developers.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 4+ years of experience on high-performing technical/product marketing teams or marketing to developer communities.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic, analytical thinker with a pragmatic, data-driven mindset
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • An understanding how developers use our platforms and tools.
  • Proven track record of working with and marketing to a developer audience.
  • Demonstrate a passion for relating to technical audiences and making sophisticated concepts simple to understand for users.
  • Show success in having tackled ambiguous problems and broken them down into well-scoped solutions.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
