Hiring Manager - Eunice Oyugi

Introduction

The Accountant works in the Finance department and is responsible for cost analysis and reconciling balances. Focus is cost control and accuracy according to accounting principles and approved costs.

Job Responsibilities

Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Month-end Accruals 
Month-end Prepayment review (Prepayments posted by AP)
Accurate, complete and timely month-end actuals for the Group and by entity
Support the Entity Financial Controllers for Entity based queries,  and preparation of financial analysis
Support the Entity Financial Controllers for Entity audit and audit queries
Develop process efficiencies aligned to Group Policy
Single Accounting treatments globally, with minimal exceptions led by local GAAP requirements
Review live PO (following Oro implementation: PO receipting, PO closing, Open PO monitoring etc.)

Knowledge and Experience

3+ years of experience in corporate accounting
Cost accounting and cost management
Experience maintaining fixed assets registers
Work with global G&A functions
Ensuring accurate prepayment and accrual of contracts
Previously supported financial controllers for preparation of financial analysis, audit queries, etc.
Assisted with the development of process efficiences aligned to group policy
Single accounting treatments globally, with minimal exceptions led by local GAAP requirements
Financial systems experience
Strong Excel

Education

University degree in Finance or Accounting
