Introduction

Optimizely is on the lookout for a Data Analyst who is deeply committed to maintaining high standards of data quality and has a keen eye for detail in audit reconciliation.  This role is a crucial part of our FP&A Team.  The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python and SQL, ensuring the reliability and precision of our financial and customer datasets.  Your role will involve collaborative efforts across various teams to facilitate our monthly and quarterly financial data reporting, which is pivotal for our strategic decision-making and adherence to compliance standards within our SaaS framework.  You’ll be instrumental in establishing the core data that will drive our advanced forecasting methodologies, ultimately leading to more precise budgeting and financial projections.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine automated reconciliation processes for tracking subscriptions, bookings, and order values across various systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, and the Data Warehouse.  Your role involves using Python and SQL to create scripts that automatically identify and rectify any inconsistencies across these platforms, ensuring data integrity.  This automation is key to streamlining audit procedures and bolstering the quality of data management, which supports the accuracy of financial reporting by providing reliable data analysis
  • Your role will be to ensure that the Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) audit is completed efficiently and on schedule. This involves verifying that all necessary tasks are finished within the set audit timeframe. You’ll aim for perfect data quality, proactively identifying and resolving any data inconsistencies found during the audit, and documenting the corrective actions taken
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders from Go-to-Market (GTM), Order Management, Customer Success, and Data Services teams to ensure a thorough audit process. You’ll be actively involved in discussions with business stakeholders to address and reconcile discrepancies in customer data, aiming to reach a consensus on the accurate status of each case
  • Your technical task will be to architect and construct Snowflake database tables that will act as the core infrastructure for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) operations. These tables will be centered around managing and analyzing data related to Billings, Revenue, ARR, and Deferred Revenue schedules, and they should be tailored for complex queries and analytics, which are standard in financial forecasting and reporting.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • A solid grasp of audit reconciliation procedures and financial data management.
  • Advanced skills in Python and SQL for process automation and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake and DBT.
