Introduction

We're looking for a Senior Accountant, Projects & Controls to join our team and drive operational excellence. This isn't a traditional accounting role; you will need to know what ‘good’ looks like, leveraging your accounting expertise to analyze, streamline, and optimize our financial and operational processes. You will be a key contributor to our financial controls, helping to ensure quality and the efficiency of our system and processes. This role is a great fit for a proactive professional who combines deep technical accounting knowledge with a passion for driving positive change

 

Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday (2 PM to 10 PM)

Financial Controls & Process Quality

o Design, implement, and maintain robust financial controls and quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

o Partner with cross-functional teams, including the Financial Control and Project teams, to embed controls and quality checks throughout our processes.

o Conduct proactive reviews of financial data and workflows to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with our financial policies and audit standards.

Operational Excellence & Process Automation

o Support the identification, analysis, and implementation of improvements to our financial processes.

o Spearhead initiatives to transform our financial operations by leveraging technology to automate manual workflows, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.

o Provide comprehensive financial analysis to support business cases for new systems and process improvements, directly contributing to our operational excellence goals.

Technical Skill Requirements

o Technical accounting knowledge (e.g. IFRS, US GAAP)

o Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including X-lookups and pivot tables) and Power-BI queries.

o Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems (NetSuite, Salesforce) used for financial reporting and ledger management, including system administration.

o Ability to analyze and present data with attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

o Audit experience desirable but not required.
