Introduction

Optimizely is seeking a motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable Senior Data Analyst to join the central Data Services Team. You will work cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Sales, Customer Success and Marketing to collect, measure, visualize and interpret data. You will specialize in turning data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.

Job Responsibilities

 - Serve as an analytical and technical thought partner to our Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and Go-to-market stakeholder teams, leveraging tools such as SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Jira, and Confluence

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize and solve business problems using data-driven insights

- Perform analysis of large, complex datasets and provide actionable insights, hypotheses, and conclusions based on findings

- Develop and supply strategic reporting, including quarterly summaries, monthly trends, week-over-week analysis, and daily reporting
 - Develop trend reporting on data inaccuracies to help leadership in seeking to understand root causes
 - Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize operational effectiveness and efficiency.
 - Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources (including data from 3rd Party partner’s systems) and maintain databases/data systems - Uses data patterns and trends to root cause operational gaps and inefficiency, develop solutions in collaboration with teams.
 - Develop and drive departmental and organizational goals through data analysis with the ability to speak to multiple levels of the business

 - Identify process and system gaps, and highlight areas for optimization/automation with the goal of driving projects to improve these areas

Knowledge and Experience

  - 3+ years working experience as a data analyst 
 - Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
 - Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) and databases (SQL etc) 
 -  Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
 - Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
 - Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
