Introduction

The Optimizely Solutions consultant team consults with customers to understand where they are in their digital journey. Some are just getting started in one area of our platform and need to be guided through the interface. Some customers will have immediate & specific admin challenges or developer lead integrations with other platforms they will need guidance on before their end users can get started adopting the platform. The team requires someone who will have a holistic view of the big picture with regards to what the customer is hoping to accomplish with their project and directly assist them within our capabilities or put the plan in place to assist their team to be successful in adopting our platform.

This role is a dynamic customer-facing position that will work closely with the Solutions Consultant team consulting with customers and partners on best practices regarding implementations of our Commerce, Content Management, and Digital Marketing Solutions. The implementation will require knowledge of modern frameworks and SDKs including .NET / .NET Core, C#, XML, and SQL Server

You will work with a team of experienced Solutions Consultants, Customer Success Managers, and onboarding teams located worldwide. Together with the Solution Consultants, you will provide on-demand, short-term billable engagement as requested by customers as part of their journey of adopting the Optimizely platform, as well as non-billable retention-related efforts. You will support customers and partners with architectural design, development, third-party integration strategies, and application performance tuning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and help implement features of Optimizely's products upon request
  • Help troubleshoot issues that customers face during implementation
  • Simultaneously manage multiple short customer-facing engagements
  • Diagnose and help resolve production issues encountered by customers, working across our product and support teams
  • Collaborate with partners on projects
  • Provide best-practice advice and guidance to internal, client, and partner development teams
  • Contribute to architectural designs and decisions related to customer CMS and eCommerce solutions
  • Provide high-quality technical consultancy to partners and/or clients in your field of expertise
  • Manage the development of service estimates
  • Consult with customers to assess their organization’s overall competency and ability to adapt to the platform
  • Contribute to internal workshops, technical presentations, and demos
  • Collaborate with cross-department teams on specific tasks or initiatives
  • Work on in-house projects to deliver production-ready code to help address commonly encountered challenges (and actively work to improve the implementation process)
  • Provide rules of engagement as you work with customers to assist them through the implementation process
  • Identify potential challenges and recognize resources required for solutions

Knowledge and Experience

  • 5 to 7 years of .NET (Framework and Core) development with a focus on web-related frameworks like ASP.NET MVC
  • Ability to create features using .Net, ASP.Net MVC, and Restful APIs such as React/Next.js, Angular, Vue.js, and familiarity with GraphQL.
  • Intermediate knowledge in JavaScript libraries such as JQuery and debugging tools
  • Intermediate knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
  • Advanced knowledge in .NET / .NET Core, C#, XML, and SQL Server
  • Advanced experience with modern development tools, such as Azure DevOps, Git, etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 
  • Advanced analytical skills for technical problem solving and experience in supporting production applications
  • Should possess excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills when working with both technical and non-technical audiences and the ability to explain product concepts including market positioning clearly and thoughtfully
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet project deadlines
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Visual Studio

Education

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or eqivalent work experience

  • Exposure to any traditional or headless CMS platforms, particularly Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, or Optimizely.
