Software Engineer (AI Engineer)

Introduction

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analysis. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing AI-driven solutions that enhance our products and services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and train machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems
• Design and Develop: Predictive models to optimize processes and improve customer experiences. Create sophisticated and effective systems and prompts for a variety of tasks not limited to customer platform adoption and usage, data analysis, solution migrations, content and general system and platform optimization tasks
• Iterate and Optimize: Continuously monitor and refine models to enhance accuracy and efficiency and experiment with different AI tools, prompting techniques, parameters, and model configurations to improve the quality, accuracy, and creativity of AI-generated content.
• Evaluate and Analyse Results: Develop metrics and methodologies to evaluate the performance of different prompts and AI models. Utilize Python scripting for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis to gain insights into prompt effectiveness.
• Automate Workflows: Develop Python scripts to automate prompt testing, code evaluation, and to streamline deployment processes.
• Research and Innovation: Stay informed about the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies. Explore and propose new AI techniques and methodologies to improve our offerings.
• Contribute to Product Vision: Provide insights and recommendations on how AI can further enhance Optimizely Opal's capabilities and create new value for our users
• Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify and resolve issues related to prompt performance and AI model outputs.
• Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with product managers and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback from field is captured and provided internally. Partner with services engineers to integrate an AI first approach across all external customer engagement.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.

• Proven experience (2+ years) in with the LLM’s; GPT Series, Claude and most importantly Gemini.
• Relevant experience and exposure to key concepts and architecture of mentioned LLM’s: GPT Series, Claude and Gemini, preferably in a similar role as an AI Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++ and JavaScript

• Experience with key frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn etc.).
• A strong understanding of different prompting techniques (e.g., few-shot learning, chain-of-thought prompting, instruction tuning).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to optimization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• A passion for AI and its potential to transform content creation and digital experiences.

• Experience in developing and executing Python scripts for data manipulation, analysis, and workflow automation.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
