Job Responsibilities

We're seeking a skilled Staff Software Engineer to fill a crucial GitOps Engineer role, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure and applications. This role centers on implementing and championing GitOps practices, automating deployments, and optimizing our Kubernetes environment. Responsibilities include managing infrastructure as code, fine-tuning Kubernetes pods and autoscaling for optimal resource utilization, and hardening Kubernetes clusters to enhance security and stability.   

 

The engineer will also drive improvements to our continuous deployment pipelines, ensuring safe and efficient releases, and manage our quarterly stable releases. A key function is maintaining our monitoring and observability stack (logs, dashboards, metrics, and alerts) to proactively identify and resolve production issues. This requires deep expertise in IaC, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring tools.  

 

Strong collaboration with development, operations, and security teams is essential, along with clear documentation of processes and infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for automation and best practices.

  • Elasticsearch / OpenSearch 

 

Work Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Knowledge and Experience

Experience required: 

  • 3+ years’ experience of developing and managing services in production 
  • Experience in Kubernetes and Docker 
  • Expertise with GitOps and Terraform 
  • Experience partnering closely with internal stakeholders, to gain a strong understanding of business and product data needs 
  • You find satisfaction in being a force multiplier for your colleagues 
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering or related experience required

  • Experience developing with TypeScript  
  • Experience working with GraphQL APIs 
  • Experience with Elasticsearch / OpenSearch 
  • Experience developing multi-tenant services 
  • Experience working with go-to-market teams  
  • Understanding the value of pair programming/TDD/Clean Code 
  • Exposure/Experience leveraging functional languages / paradigms 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience
