Introduction
Global Events Director is responsible for the strategy, leadership, and execution oversight of all Marquis Corporate Events. This is inclusive of, but not limited to the end to end portfolio of participation and contribution to overall marketing mix; Opticon Series, Executive Summit, Tier 1 third party events.
Job Responsibilities
•Drive process and program across organization, pulling in appropriate stakeholders and team members to execute in their area
•Serve as central point of contact for all things events , including guiding 3rd party event standards, webinar/digital event best practices,
•Guide content strategy for keynotes, breakouts, and special programming in collaboration with Solution Marketing, Thought Leadership, and Corporate Branding
•Drive calendar, prepare written and visual material to support internal communications to business leadership
•Coordinate with field marketing to ensure alignment with targets, enablement for the field and lead routing/follow-up
•Orchestrate pre & follow-up campaign plan with Global Campaigns & Digital teamsr to drive pipeline. Develop and implement cohesive global event strategy
•Aligns to marketing plan, corporate positioning and business priorities.
•Develop knowledge and understanding of the target audience personas for Optimizely solutions
•Working with field and growth marketing to determine audience segmentation and acquisition strategy
•Write/review internal, executive, and external comms; conduct regular executive briefings for MLT and business leadership
•Ensure finalized plan is properly executed by working closely with internal stakeholders, external services providers and Event Brand Experience and Event Execution teams.
•Proactively drive process and program improvements across organization to increase:
•Registrations, attendance, sales pipeline attendance, customer renewals, net new lead quality
•Partner sponsorships opportunities
•Media/influencer engagement
•Reporting
•Event marketing campaign optimization
•Collaborate across marketing teams for an integrated marketing approach to events that includes digital channels, social media, etc.
•Working with Finance and Partner Sponsors determine pricing model for sponsorship packages, attendee pricing model, comp pass model & distribution
Knowledge and Experience
10+ years event strategy including owned events & sponsored.
Strong technical knowledge and tech marketing experience
Strong organizational skills and proven leader through change
Project management and meticulous attention to detail
Superior interpersonal & communication skills
salesforce, cvent, digital event platforms (On24, Bevy, RainFocus, similar)
Education
Bachelors Degree, Masters degree a plus
