Desktop Support Technician

Introduction

Optimizely is looking for a Desktop Support Technician, specializing in Linux Desktop Support (specfically Debian/Ubuntu). Individual will be working closely with our Campaign Development Environments in Berlin and Vietnam.   In addition, individual will work closely to support Client Platform Engineers in Windows and Mac management utilizing Intune and JAMF.

Job Responsibilities

• Research, design and implement technical solutions
• Manage and support varied lab systems, both Windows and Linux-based
• Manage and support MDM solutions for Windows, Mac and Linux environments
• Collaborate with technical groups across the organization
• Author technical documentation

Knowledge and Experience

• Expertise in Linux Desktop Support
• Knowledge of Microsoft Autopilot and Intune
• Knowledge of Apple Business Manager and JAMF 
• Demostratable knowledge of automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc)
• Understanding of containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, etc)
• Client scripting and automation (python, bash, powershell)
• Ability to solve complex problems with minimal oversight
• Effective Communication
• Ability to write technical documentation
• Fluent in both spoken and written English. 
   

Education

BS in an information technology or computer science related field.  5+ years Linux desktop support experience.   5+ years IT experience
