Introduction

 

The IT Automation Engineer is responsible for creating and developing automation and integrations between various internal and external systems used by Optimizely.   

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Work with a team of automation engineers
  • Implements new integration solutions
  • Participates in team and department meetings
  • Monitors and maintains the health of automation and integrations
  • Writes scripts to automate various functions
  • Works with departments to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions

Knowledge and Experience

  • 3+ years in an automation engineering role in an enterprise environment. 
  • The ability to write scripts is common scripting languages (Powershell, Python, SQL, Ruby, Go, etc.)
  • Ability to write and review documentation
  • Advanced knowledge of various APIs
  • Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, SAML, SWA)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies with a focus on Azure and Office 365
  • Proficiency in deployment tools (Ansible, Terraform)
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Autonomous working ability
  • Experience with working with a global team across different time zones

Education

 

Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
