Job Responsibilities

Optimizely is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our Experimentation product team. As a Senior Product Designer, you will be an individual contributor who owns the experience strategy for specific areas within Experimentation and you will design and evolve the tools that customers use to build, test, and release digital experiences with confidence.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design vision, creation, and execution for specific area(s) within Experimentation, working closely with Product, Engineering, and other designers in Vietnam, Europe, and North America. You will focus on elevating Experimentation through thoughtful interaction design, strong usability practices, and clear customer value.

This role will also integrate Opal AI into the Experimentation product. You will help design AI-assisted experiences that help our customers get the most out of their Experimentation programs.

The ideal candidate is curious, detail oriented, and comfortable contributing to a highly collaborative team. You will become a subject matter expert across the design team in this area, helping to define best practices and bring a modern UX sensibility to your solutions. You will help modernize Experimentation with both strong UX craft and emerging AI capabilities. You’ll also play a critical role in shaping the evolution of our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform.

What You Will Do

· Own and drive end-to-end design across key areas of the Experimentation experience—from concept to execution.

· Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to translate business goals and user needs into elegant, intuitive solutions.

· Collaborate with fellow designers to ensure cohesion across the broader product ecosystem.

· Contribute to strategy discussions and influence product roadmaps with user-centered thinking.

· Plan and execute research, usability testing, and validation activities to inform and improve your designs.

· Help define and evolve our design standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design culture.

Knowledge and Experience

What You Bring

· A detailed, user-centered design process, with a portfolio showcasing the end-to-end thinking behind shipped digital products.

· You put the “product” in product design—comfortable aligning your decisions with business goals and demonstrating how your design impacts outcomes.

· Meticulous attention to detail: craft, polish, and accessibility matter to you.

· A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a track record of working successfully with cross-functional peers.

· Strong communication and storytelling skills, able to articulate design rationale and influence stakeholders.

· A growth mindset: adaptable in fast-moving environments and always looking for the next improvement.

· Deep customer empathy and a drive to advocate for users at every stage of the product lifecycle.

· Proficiency with modern design tools like Figma, and experience with design systems and prototyping.

· 5+ years of experience designing digital products in a SaaS or tech environment.

· Experience mentoring or coaching other designers is a plus.

· Familiarity with design in global, multilingual environments is a bonus.

· Nice to have: familiarity with A/B testing, digital optimization and/or visual website editors
