Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Introduction

Quality Assurance Engineers are subject matter experts with mastery in a specific product and/or technical functional area and consistently manage and ship high quality and timely releases that solve complex problems end-to-end within a team. They possess strong technical skills and testing experience in their areas of expertise that they leverage to mentor junior engineers and to make thoughtful technical tradeoff decisions. They proactively communicate their testing strategies and decisions through various technical forums. They own the operational excellence of their services/components. They assume increasing levels of leadership roles on technical and/or non-technical (cultural) initiatives and play an influential role in hiring, retaining and growing diversity in the company.

Job Responsibilities

• Ownership of the quality and end-to-end testing strategy for epics that solve complex problems, potentially crossing multiple delivery teams / features / products.
• Leading the test execution and doing work in any tool and any part of the process as may be necessary, to deliver the feature or project with high quality and focus on business value.
• Drives quality perspective in the product grooming process by carefully reviewing requirements and proactively providing feedback.
• Work occasionally crosses team lines and is more cross-functional in nature
• Is recognized as a subject matter expert within a technical area; people seek you out for your technical expertise
• Participates in technical interviews as part of the hiring process

Knowledge and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in manual testing. Experienced in Automaiton is a big advantage. 
• Mastery in using multiple testing tools.
• Mastery in creating test planning and testing documentation.
• Proficiency in test Automation, automation tools and how it can apply in testing projects.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Possession of excellent analytical and problem–solving skills, high sense of responsibility, good teamwork player.
• Willingness to embrace and learn new technologies.
• Good skills in English, both written and spoken.
