Introduction

Optimizely is seeking an experienced Senior Atlassian Administrator to join our IT team. This position will be responsible for gathering requirements, providing insight, designing solutions, and working cross-functionally to implement and maintain our Atlassian stack.  

Applicants should be familiar with cloud versions of Jira Software, Work Management, Service Management, and Confluence, and how teams across the business use these tools. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Facilitate discussions and gather requirements from internal teams and design Jira projects and Confluence spaces to support their business-as-usual activities.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to how we use our Atlassian stack. 
  • Lead effort to clean-up, organize, and maintain Jira and Confluence
  • Develop long-term road map to merge or move a self-hosted environment to Cloud. 
  • Support users with training and troubleshooting building trust in Atlassian as a widely used business tool.
  • Share and implement best practices.
  • Identify gaps in process, operations, and systems as well as opportunities to grow the use of Atlassian environment.
  • Review and improve current use: security schemes, groups, custom fields, webhooks, workflows, screen schemes, etc. 
  • Develop and maintain trust cross-departmentally.
  • Research, pilot, and recommend emerging technology to support use of Atlassian suite.
  • Understand software development processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques, artifacts, and Agile frameworks

Knowledge and Experience

3 year or more years' experience with hands-on Atlassian cloud administration ​​​​​​​

Education
  • Related educational degree or certificates
  • Other system administration
  • ITIL Service Delivery; Agile methodology certifications
  • Public presentations of your work: speaking at conferences, articles published, book author
  • Atlassian certifications
