Introduction

As a Data Scientist you will be a key member of the Analytics team propelling your career in the increasing growing world of data in a fast-paced environment. You will be working with some of the industry leading tools and with a wide variety of differing data sources so further develop the understanding of our customer base and addressable market. 

Job Responsibilities

The Data Scientist role has responsibility for creating novel conclusions using advanced methodology to gain a deeper understanding of our customer and customer data. 
 

  • Support a team of data analysts across customer success, marketing and sales on a variety of research and development projects 
  • Develop and test ML models that identifying customers who have a high propensity to be cross-sold other products in our suite 
  • Work with existing team on driving higher performance out of existing customer churn prediction models 
  • Develop NLP capabilities on customer communication data as well as data from other customer or prospect touchpoints 
  • Effectively communicate results and findings of analysis and research with key stakeholders as well as being comfortable with fact finding and working across teams  
  • Design, develop and deployment of code 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong understanding of Python, SQL, R 
  • Experience with functional programming concepts and architecture  
  • Worked with customer data in a SaaS environment and understand how SaaS business operate 
  • Demonstrable experience within Machine Learning / Natural Language Processing / Recommender Systems / Data Science  
  • Creative with approach to interpreting data 
  • Self-starter 
  • Advanced Excel 
  • Collation, manipulation, analysis & presentation of data 
  • Holistic knowledge of related disciplines such as data warehousing and business intelligence 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to explain technical aspects of the service with non-technical audience 
  • Innovative and creative, with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving 
  • Good team player but ability to work independently when required 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, or relevant technical field
