Introduction
The Director, Commercial Delivery will lead and optimize our end-to-end operational processes, including pricing, provisioning, and commercial release management. This role is a critical link between our product, finance, sales, and engineering teams, it will be empowered to ensure our go-to-market execution is efficient, accurate, and aligned with company goals. The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with a deep understanding of the SaaS business model, strong operational skills, and a proven track record of managing complex commercial workflows, coupled with significant change management experience.
Job Responsibilities
Commercial Release Management
- Own the end-to-end launch process for new products, features, and pricing changes.
- Maintain a commercial release calendar and align cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Engineering) for timely delivery.
- Develop go-to-market plans, manage stakeholder communications, and track post-launch performance.
Commercial Readiness
- Drive readiness across back-office teams (Finance, Billing, Support) to enable automated invoicing, rev-rec, and reporting.
- Ensure accurate configuration of new offerings in billing and finance systems.
- Create process documentation, training, and feedback loops for continuous improvement.
Pricing & Provisioning Operations
- Lead operational rollout of pricing strategies across CPQ, CRM, and ERP systems.
- Manage pricing configuration, discount frameworks, and approval workflows.
- Oversee automated provisioning and service activation processes to ensure accuracy and speed.
Process Optimization
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies across commercial workflows.
- Map current vs. future state processes and lead change adoption.
- Use data to measure impact and drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product on pricing and packaging; support Sales and CS on deal structures and escalations.
- Act as the single point of contact for all commercial readiness initiatives.
Performance & Analytics
- Define and track key commercial KPIs (ASP, discount rates, time-to-provision, launch success).
- Deliver insights and recommendations to leadership for performance optimization.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing commercial operations team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
Knowledge and Experience
- 7-10 years of experience in operations, or a related field, with at least 4 years in a leadership or management role.
- Deep expertise in the SaaS business model, including an understanding of recurring revenue, churn, and LTV/CAC.
- Proven experience in managing software or service provisioning operations and commercial release management.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools like Tableau or Power BI).
- Experience with CPQ, CRM (e.g., Salesforce), and ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- A strategic thinker with a bias for action and a detail-oriented mindset.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field. An MBA is a plus.
