Introduction
Optimizely is seeking a Senior Manager, Project Management to support the delivery of a variety of projects and programmes and manage a small team of project resources including Project Managers, a Change Manager and a PMO.
Areas of focus include the integration of acquired companies, process improvement initiatives, technology projects, Go to Market Readiness, and other efforts aligned with key strategic goals.
As a successful candidate, you are an experienced leader and problem solver, a natural self-starter - a
quick learner who is comfortable leading in complex scenarios and happy to take on new challenges.
You will have experience leading a project team and working on a variety of projects and programmes. Great stakeholder management is key for success.
Job Responsibilities
Leading a small team to deliver various projects and programmes, manage integrations, deploy cross-functional business and technology solutions, and meet key priorities to deliver value.
Mange the day to day activities of the Project Delivery Team ensuring the work being delivered is of a high standard, timely and meets the requirements of key stakeholders and the business.
Ensure projects and programmes are deliver the stated value according to the business need, respecting the quality, and agreed to goals.
Manage project or integrations from beginning to end, with the goal of delivering on time, on budget, in scope, and with excellent cross functional communication. This includes: Build project plans to manage key decisions, dependencies, and risks.
Work closely with key stakeholders at all levels, to ensure seamless two-way communication. Ensure the project stays on track and teams are motivated. Ensure all reporting requirements are met throughout the life of the project.
Support the Senior Director and where required deputise on their behalf.
Champion best practise through the use of agreed templates, tools and approaches.
Effectiively and proactively partner with key business and technology partners to ensure a joined up approach to delivering projects and change.
Knowledge and Experience
• 3+ years of management experience combined with 6+ years in project management, business transformation and programme management
• Experience leading a team on a day to day basis ensuring meaninglful and value add work is allocated and delivered including the delivery of complex projects from inception to delivery (technology and business)
• Experience facilitating cross-functional teams to arrive at solutions to complex problems
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Comfortable with uncertainty and ambiguity; leading and influencing in such environment
• Can apply structure to an unstructured environment
• Highly organized
• Strategic thinking as well as tactical execution
• Ability to present complex information to key stakeholders in a way which is meaningful
Education
Project Management qualification I.e Prince 2.
