Introduction

The Optimizely Finance & Accounting org is seeking a Director of Accounting to oversee Optimizely's US entities.  The Director, Accounting is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial results across our US entities. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of accountants ensuring they are given excellent guidance and training to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to perform their tasks and develop further.
  • Preparation of monthly accounts and reporting pack for submission to Group, including analysis with supporting commentary on monthly movements
  • Overall ownership of the US entities from a statutory reporting perspective ensuring all items are accounted for in line with group policies.
  • Review of team tasks and reconciliations to ensure we are producing high quality, accurate data which is well documented, ensuring compliance with corporate reporting and control standards
  • Running the US element of the group audit, ensuring delivery of all information to auditors is on time, accurate and all issues raised are coordinated with group finance.
  • Managing relationships with external providers such as banks, auditors and tax advisors
  • Preparation of monthly accounts and reporting pack for submission to Group, including analysis with supporting commentary on monthly movements
  • Liaising with tax and payroll departments to ensure that the ledgers accurately reflect these areas

Knowledge and Experience

Qualified accountant with 5+ years’ experience in post qualified role. Ideally trained with Big 4 accountancy firm.

Must have managed a team of at least 3 staff.

Manages complex issues that require an in-depth knowledge of the company, industry and / or function. ​

Applies broad knowledge of all areas within function.

Education

Qualified accountant (CPA)
