Introduction

We are looking for a creative, collaborative, and data-oriented product marketing manager to tell the story of our products to ecommerce, IT, merchandising, marketing, and digital teams across the globe. This person has hands-on product marketing experience. In addition, they will be self-motivated and have demonstrated the ability to perform at a high level in previous professional experience. This role will work cross-functionally with different departments in marketing and be a GTM partner to our sales, product, and customer success organizations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own our level 0, 1 product messaging, positioning, and key-value drivers, which differentiate Optimizely in the market.
  • Produce high-impact content for ecommerce/merchandising/IT/marketing/digital personas, including ownership of the bill of materials for the product. 
  • Own the customer-facing roadmap that balances communication of the Product’s long-term vision against short-term feature delivery/bug fix releases.
  • Create go-to-market plans, translating technical details and features into outcomes that resonate with our key audiences about our value drivers and why our product is different.
  • Work closely with Product to drive product strategy and plan, execute, and measure the outcome of feature launches.
  • Work closely with your PMM peers to understand how our products work together to accomplish customer outcomes and create the positioning and messaging to support that.
  • Develop and deliver product, market, and industry-specific enablement to the Optimizely sales team.
  • Enable our sales team to confidently present our products to buyers through the creation of trainings, internal and external collateral, and messaging. 
  • Collaborate with industry renown analysts such as Forrester, Gartner, IDC, etc. On licensed reports for demand generation, e.g., Forrester Total Economic Impact studies
  • Have a crucial role in driving and communicating about our Commerce solution and capabilities and the role it plays within the customer experience.
  • Align with the Digital team to maintain our content and campaign ideation program and participate in building, executing, and providing analysis on content created using keyword strategy tactics relevant to the Commerce solution.
  • Work with demand generation, communications, field marketing, and SDR leadership to define and bring marketing campaigns to life that drive interest in our products.

  • Be a product expert. Seek out opportunities to increase product understanding and expertise. Stay informed of our customers, buyers, and competitors by continuing to build industry expertise.
  • Understand market needs for product integrations and partnerships that have been developed and collaborate with peers to build unique and differentiated messaging and positioning for those considerations.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
