Introduction

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance across the regional entities, including potentially US federal, state, other local taxes, sales tax, as well as foreign entity returns for subsidiaries, which will be achieved through partnership with our tax partners across the world and supported by the local controllership teams. 

Job Responsibilities

•    Work closely with the local finance controller and  external tax advisors to ensure all tax filings are made on time in an accurate and efficient manner
•    Ensuring all intercompany transactions with the regional entity have the correct tax treatment
•    Manage all tax audits and inquiries. Serve as primary regional contact for audits by regulatory agencies or external representation
•    Partner with controllership staff and external advisors to ensure compliance for sales & use tax, gross receipts, personal property and all other local taxes as needed
•    Prepare audit schedules, tax workings and disclosures and work with auditors on questions for the statutory accounts
•    Work with external advisors to calculate and remit all estimated, instalment and final tax payments for the regional companies.
•    Capable of communicating with all levels within the organization
•    Keeping up to date with relevant tax regulations and ensuring compliance across all the regional entities, providing guidance and updates to Senior Director, Global Tax

Knowledge and Experience

  • 5+ years experience in tax compliance
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a tax manager (or director) or equivalent role
  • Experience with US tax compliance
  • Experience with sales tax compliance
  • Public Accounting experience required

Education

CPA Certification
