The HRIS Analyst will be a key member of the HRIS team and have broad responsibility across various topics related to system enhancements, reporting, project management, data validation, special data projects and more. The position will have responsibility for ensuring the timely and accurate flow of data (via reports and dashboards) from the organization’s HRIS system (SuccessFactors) to the organizations management but especially payroll and finance solutions. The analyst essentially serves as the bridge between HR and Finance to ensure all payroll required data sourced from HRIS system is fully populated and accurate to support the regular payroll processing cycles and executive reporting. Data used for finance includes headcount and personnel data, recruiting data and contingent worker data. For any incremental reporting work, significant enhancements and implementation of new solutions the analyst will be fully responsible for documenting business and process requirements including all aspects of validating and testing the solution from a HR data perspective. This includes integration testing, user acceptance testing and where applicable parallel testing. For routine production operations the analyst will be responsible for monitoring the validity of data being passed from HRIS system to Finance. May support special projects may include document generation, data storage, training HR/Managers on reporting capability, learning system, expansion of SuccessFactors across new entities, M&A, and periodic requests outside of HRIS.

Job Responsibilities

  • Gathers and manage large datasets from multiple sources, transforming or cleaning data as necessary.
  • Document functional and technical requirements, including use cases or user stories to support development activities.
  • Executes and supports recurring HR reports (e.g., personnel roster, headcount, etc.) leveraging existing HR data infrastructure.
  • Publish re-occurring reports to HR Reporting Portal and ensure SharePoint governance is maintained for end users.
  • Monitors and analyzes HR data, taking corrective actions and/or making recommendations, as needed to continuously improve the quality and usefulness of HR data.
  • Coordinates with internal HR team(s) to address any data quality issues.
  • Coordinates with IT SuccessFactors Admin and HRIS Manager to resolve HROPS Service Desk issues.
  • Ensures compliance with all with Optimizely information security and data privacy policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Creates and maintains reporting inventory and documentation on all HR reporting processes.
  • Maintain operational excellence to ensure data quality check and methods are in place.
  • Ensure all Service Level Agreements (SLA) are measured and met.
  • Serves as backup to HRIS Director and Hiring Manager for all modules.

Knowledge and Experience

  • At least 3 years of HR or HRIS generalist experience or any combination of education, training or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position is required.
  • Should have good hands-on experience working with SuccessFactors workflows, people workflow analytics, building reports, understanding HR data, etc. different HR modules of SuccessFactors (e.g. Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Performance and Goals)
  • Should have excellent written and communication skills
  • Should be able to work with Business Users directly, understand their requirements, build reports as required
  • Should have functional HR background and be able to understand Global and US HR data and how it is used.
  • Should have hands on experience building reports in SuccessFactors Report Center
  • Prior experience handling and reporting on global and sensitive data.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite of products (Access, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Experience using advanced Excel functionality (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables/charts, slicers, etc.)


  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in HR or IT
