Introduction
The Lead AI Instructor owns the learning experience for Markademy, Optimizely's cohort-based program that teaches enterprise marketers to build with AI. This person leads live cohorts, owns and continuously improves the curriculum, and helps scale the program through specialized cohorts and async learning content.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate live cohorts, holding a room of senior marketers and adapting in real time.
- Own the end-to-end curriculum: design, build, and iterate instructor-led, self-paced, and blended learning content.
- Build and expand async learning content and resources.
- Design and run specialized/vertical cohorts as the program scales.
- Evaluate and coach partner instructors to ensure consistent quality and messaging.
- Apply learning science (spacing, retrieval, active practice) to improve cohort completion and retention.
- Partner cross-functionally across the Markademy team to deliver cohorts smoothly.
Knowledge and Experience
- Demonstrated experience designing and building curriculum for adult/professional learners (instructor-led, self-paced, or blended).
- Live facilitation/teaching experience with professional audiences; ability to hold and engage a room of senior marketers.
- At least 2 years teaching AI.
- Hands-on depth in AI/agent-building with a real point of view on AI in learning.
- Working knowledge of, or strong interest in, marketing use cases.
- Experience coaching or evaluating other instructors preferred.
Education - Legacy Section
Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience.

Total Target Compensation range: $74,000-$137,000
Optimizely considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
