Introduction

The Senior Director, Marketing is a people leader who will also lead various marketing initiatives and own the strategy for their assigned areas. This is a critical leadership role that will shape the future of the Optimizely brand and how we engage with customers across all digital touchpoints. 

The Senior Director, Marketing will work cross-functionally with other leaders from various other teams both within the Marketing organization and within the broader company. They will play a central role in the execution of major company initiatives which may include a company-wide rebrand, new website launch, and optimization of paid media and ABM programs. 

Job Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

· Leading one or more Marketing teams
· Ensuring brand consistency and innovation across all channels and materials.
· Overseeing teams responsible for areas such as website experience, development, optimization, and analytics.
· Owning global strategy and execution for assigned areas within the Marketing organization 
· Leading the strategy, design, and rollout of Marketing initiatives 
· Testing, refining, and scaling established Marketing initiatives and programs in partnership with other Marketing leaders
· Partnering with other Marketing leaders on positioning and messaging to ensure clear and compelling market differentiation.
· Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align go-to-market efforts.
· Inspiring, mentoring, and growing a high-performing team with a people-first leadership style.

Knowledge and Experience

· 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, including senior roles leading brand, web, and paid media functions.
· Proven track record managing creative and digital teams within a fast-paced, high-growth B2B SaaS environment.
· Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing including brand, demand generation, and ABM.
· Demonstrated success leading high-impact initiatives such as rebrands, major web redesigns, and multi-channel paid media programs.
· Strong command of modern marketing technology and tools—experience with platforms like 6sense, Calibermind, and Optimizely is strongly preferred.
· Excellent communication skills and executive presence with the ability to influence across the organization.
· Strategic thinker who is also hands-on and execution-oriented.
· A collaborative, empathetic leader who inspires trust and fosters a culture of excellence.

Education

Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience)
