The Senior Events Manager, Tradeshows will support a portfolio of events aligned with Optimizely signature moments, campaigns, and product launches which support the overall marketing strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage 5-10 virtual and physical events annually, primarily large-scale tradeshows
  • Help plan and lead the execution of our global flagship customer conference, Opticon.
  • Support other events as needed
  • Work closely with executives, senior leaders, and stakeholders on our events to define messaging, agenda, speakers, training, content strategy, etc.
  • Drive all event communications, both internally and externally
  • Deliver exceptional attendee experiences which drive engagement, attendance, participation and post-event follow-up response.
  • Work closely with Go To Market (GTM) partners and cross-functional marketing teams to develop repeatable content, tools, systems, processes and guidelines to drive scale and impact.
  • Partner closely with the broader marketing teams to ensure there is consistency of messaging across all aspects of events.
  • Maintain a budget for large scale events and closely track spend against targets.
  • Set success criteria, measure and report out the impact of each major event on awareness, engagement and pipeline acceleration metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to innovate, design and deliver impactful events/brand experiences that mee.t our objectives, set the bar and leverages the skills of the team.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure events accomplish shared goals of building and accelerating pipeline, deal progress, existing customer share expansion, and community building

Knowledge and Experience

  • 4-5 years delivering successful event experiences (virtual/hybrid event experience required) specifically focused on large scale tradeshows.
  • Creative, collaborative, and resourceful.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Lead and influence with executives and cross-departmentally.
  • Data-driven mindset focused on setting and measuring KPIs and pipeline metrics.
  • Strong understanding and practice of event strategy and content development.
  • Knowledge and experience with online event platforms and tools (reg/web/mobile) for digital, live-streamed and in-person events.
  • Experience working in both digital and in-person event environments, with in-depth knowledge in managing internal and external production teams.
  • Experience working with and managing external vendors and partners.
  • Experience working in an integrated marketing/demand gen organization.
  • Positive and motivated self-starter.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, with the ability to drive clarity.
  • Excellent budget and financial prowess. Show success in having tackled ambiguous problems and broken them down into well-scoped solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with experimentation, marketing technology, data and analytics, or product management a plus.
