Introduction

This role is responsible for the timely and cost-effective strategic sourcing of complex goods and services in accordance with corporate policies and procedures. This position works closely with business units to develop strategies, maintain existing/create new strategic relationships, and drive incremental value through innovative negotiations and partnerships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting the business units in their evaluation of and negotiation with new and existing vendors.
  • Working with business units on contracts for one-off purchases as well as long-term partnerships.
  • Making recommendations on existing vendors and their areas of overlap.
  • Negotiating and redlining contracts for cost savings and legal interests, primarily data access and privacy based and legal and finance guidelines Managing procurement process ensuring compliance and risk mitigation criteria are met.
  • Removing roadblocks and tracking progress of different procurement processes to ensure timely approvals.
  • Building relationships with internal stakeholders to become familiar with business needs, plans, and trends.
  • Staying on top of contract expirations and begin renewal conversations in a timely manner.
  • Creating & managing a Preferred Vendor List Additional projects and duties as needed.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 4+ years of professional experience in budget management and/or software procurement.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines as well as across time zones.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills (i.e. cost analysis).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, knows how to communicate effectively with different levels within the organization.
  • Understanding of procurement strategies, organizations, and tech stacks.
  • Previous Software industry experience 
  • Experience with procurement tools.
