Introduction
The Solution Strategy Director is responsible for defining and driving execution of the GTM strategy for his/her assigned solution area, which is one of CMP, CMS, WX, FX, Commerce, Industry and Compete (list can expand as we scale). Reporting into the VP, Solution Strategy, and in partnership with GTM leaders, including Sales, Marketing, Partner Sales, Customer Success, and Product, this person will develop, execute, and report on targeted GTM programs/sales plays to generate pipeline and bookings and increase win rates for the assigned business unit (solution). Lastly, this person will serve as a field-facing SME to support enablement efforts and product launches that roll up to the GTM sales plays owned.
Job Responsibilities
* Own business success and outcomes for his/her assigned areas (ie products/solutions, target industries)
* Partner with Solution Strategy lead, GTM Operations, Analytics, and GTM/product leadership to identify key growth strategies (i.e. products/industry) and formulate an execution plan for these, including setting goals, timelines, selecting channels to use, developing an ICP for targeting.
* Host cadence calls at launch and post-launch to monitor and report progress of assigned targeted plays, including account status updates, channel usage effectiveness (i.e. marketing/SDR/partner/customer success), risks, opportunities/deals and overall effectiveness of sales plays.
* Proactively contribute and suggest ideas to the wider Solution Strategy team for how to improve GTM across initiatives that span pricing, distribution, enablement, etc.
* Work with internal teams on strategizing and supporting launches of internal products/solutions as they Go-To-Market for the respective unit, including coordination across Product Management, Marketing, Pricing, GTM Strategy & Enablement, and Partners. Once products are launched, monitor and report on success of products into market, including key deals, enablement/field adoption, and attachment rate of products to sales.
Knowledge and Experience
7+ years previous experience in SaaS companies, including experience presenting to senior leaders at customers & partners
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with GTM and product management
Demonstrated ability to design and launch key GTM initiatives across various cross-functional teams
Preferably have experience working with solution and technology partners in a software organization
Strong project management skills to create and present project plans in coordination with cross-functional global teams
Ability to engage and present to internal and external audiences on a variety of topics
Must be an independent motivated worker with excelleng communication skills and people skills
Must have a keen attention to detail through complex rollouts with multiple factors including operational and pricing considerations
Strong knowledge and/or experience of his/her solution area (i.e. experimentation experience), Direct knowledge of Optimizely's products is a plus
