Introduction

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees across the EMEA region. This role requires a strong understanding of international payroll practices, compliance, and regulations specific to the EMEA region. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the complete payroll processing for employees in multiple countries within the EMEA region. 
  • Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. 
  • Maintain and update payroll records, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and labor laws. 
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accuracy in payroll calculations, including bonuses, commissions, and deductions. 
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries related to payroll. 
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management as required. 
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations in the EMEA region. 
  • Collaborate with external payroll vendors to ensure efficient and compliant payroll processing. 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Authorized Payroll Specialist
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, preferably with experience in Sweden, Germany  and the UK ( or the EMEA region) . 
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws in the EMEA region. 
  • Knowledge of working with payroll software - Hogia, Nmbrs, and other 3rd party vendors. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel – pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s - required. 
  • Basic knowledge of accounting for journal entries. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. 
  • Fluency in English, Swedish and additional European languages would be beneficial.
