Introduction

The Optimizely Strategy Consulting team helps our customers build world-class experimentation programs. The Strategy Consulting team is responsible for customer enablement, providing customers with actionable experimentation training and recommendations while working closely together with internal and external stakeholders. We work with both new and existing customers. Strategy Consulting is part of Expert Services in the Customer Success department. We also think a lot about how we can improve the way we work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop an excellent understanding of the customers’ goals and objectives, their digital strategy, and how the Optimizely products can help them achieve those goals
  • Work with our customers to develop a vision, implement organizational processes, and support change management within their organization to achieve a mindset shift towards experiment-led decision making
  • Facilitate sessions and workshops with customer stakeholders through their initial onboarding or in bespoke projects based on their needs
  • Work closely with the rest of each customer’s Optimizely team including but not limited to Engagement Managers, Solutions Architects, Training Consultants, Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and On-Demand Services to ensure strategy, technical work, test builds, and all other related account work is coordinated and as impactful as possible
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Optimizely product suite to drive ongoing adoption of the platform, including training and assisting the customers with platform implementation and experiment set-up
  • Validate and frame ideas as prioritized testable hypotheses (e.g. A/B/n tests, MVTs, personalization campaigns, MABs, and feature rollouts)
  • Tactically help customers ideate, build experimentation roadmaps, conduct analyses, and guide customers to understand the impact of their partnership with Optimizely
  • Tactically execute research or provide consultation for clients to do it themselves with common methodologies (e.g., polls, surveys, user testing, etc.)
  • Support Optimizely Customer Success needs, including identifying churn risks across our customer base and hopping in to solve them
  • Develop a repository of knowledge from your ongoing work and use it to improve upon the ways we deliver to our customers today
  • Create thought leadership that pushes Optimizely’s strategy forward in the industry through internal and external efforts (e.g., webinars, blog posts, LinkedIn content, conference presentations, etc.)
  • Support sales initiatives to grow the business for current and new customers, which includes identifying product and service opportunities
  • Share your knowledge with the wider Customer Success, Product, Sales, and Marketing functions of Optimizely to make us all better

Knowledge and Experience

  • Around 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing, technology consulting, analytics, or experimentation (i.e CRO, A/B testing, etc.)
  • Statistical experience (i.e. clinical trials, creative study designs, large scale surveying, etc.) is a big plus
  • Possess a good understanding of how digital organizations work and the typical tools of a modern experimentation program and / or product development flow
  • Familiarity with Optimizely (or other A/B testing platforms) plus solid technical understanding of how these platforms work
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other frontend languages used to build a/b tests through platforms like Optimizely
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time to visit customers on-site and potentially ad hoc as needed internationally
