Introduction

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join an elite team of engineers. This team will be working to enable marketers to orchestrate and personalize the visitor journey and unlock the analytic potential inside our products for our clients and ourselves.

At Optimizely, we don’t just build pretty dashboards. We make data actionable so our clients can make confident decisions and grow their businesses. In this position, you’ll be on the ground floor of the team that will take this capability to the next level.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing and maintaining the Reporting services built on our already robust CDP and other products.
  • Building the user interface for integrating personalization features of our products.
  • Designing architectures that are performant and cost effective. Fast is a feature.
  • Recognizing opportunities to transform data into knowledge. Think like a Data Scientist. Work like an engineer.
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. We lead the industry in regulation-compliant first-party data empowerment
  • Collaborating with engineers and product managers to deliver on the Reporting roadmap.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in software engineering and architecture.
  • Fluency in several languages, including Kotlin and Java.
  • Front-end development experience with Typescript and frameworks like React.
  • Experience with Cloud Computing platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience with containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes.)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Practical experience with reliability at scale in distributed systems.
  • SaaS experience.
  • Experience in implementing and architecting complex data management and BI capabilities.
  • Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience in SQL and Python.
  • Knowledge of build/release systems and processes.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience
