Introduction
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior AI Engineer to join our growing IT Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning, with a passion for solving complex problems and driving innovation. You will be working with engineers, infrastructure, and business SMEs to build intelligent and innovative solutions with AI.
Job Responsibilities
Champion the use of AI applications across the business, contributing thought leadership to real business problems to effect positive change. Design, develop, and implement advanced AI models to solve complex business problems and improve our products and services. Write programs and develop algorithms to extract meaningful information from large amounts of both structured and unstructured data.
Prepare datasets for feeding into algorithms, analyze and develop data structures, and deal with AI solutions for data processing.
Conduct experiments and test different approaches, optimizing programs to improve performance, speed, and scalability.
Collaborate with data engineering to ensure clean records and work with internal stakeholders to explore and understand business data.
Implement AI lifecycle management framework and build model performance tracking tools to monitor model performance, identify drivers, and provide recommendations for optimization.
Author technical documentation and reports to communicate processes and results.
Mentor and guide junior AI engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Knowledge and Experience
2.5 - 5+ years of hands-on experience in building data science applications and machine learning pipelines. Strong programming skills in Python or another relevant language.
Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
Working knowledge of one or more SQL languages: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, etc.
Experience with large datasets, distributed computing, and cloud computing platforms.
MLOps experience is highly regarded.
Experience with automation tools like Airflow is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with project experience in machine learning and statistical modeling. Or Equivalent Experience.
