Introduction
The Data Capability Lead will shape and drive strategic data capability across Optimizely, aligning with business goals and pioneering change in the data value chain. Will push forward modern architecture patterns, striking the right balanace between data strategy and practicality. Responisble for delivering data solutions that span multiple high-profile projects, teams, systems and processes in our bid to activate optimal value from data.
Job Responsibilities
- Be a vital bridge between business team, IT and Data Services
- Ensure data architecture aligns with both operational goals and strategic business initiatives, translating the needs of the business into actionable technical solutions
- The go-to expert in complex data landscapes, ensuring that we create fit-for-purpose data capabilities
- Oversee the architecture of our data platform and Co-design/architect interoperability between our core platforms and third-party providers, applying consistent standards
- Work with colleagues in Data Services to design and manage robust data assurance processes
- Identify areas where AI can be exploited in new and existing opportunities
- Enabling transformation and data-driven decision-making underpinned by robust data capabilities
- Document project and program data architecture to maintain an accurate view of the data ecosystem, supporting a single version of truth and scalability for current and future analytical needs.
- Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement
- Designs solutions to ingest and processes 3rd party data that enrich content and context of existing data sets
Knowledge and Experience
- Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of management and cultures including business analysts, technical resources, and business executive leadership
- Exceptional analytical ability to quickly gather facts, understand the business requirement/scenario and enable the resolution in collaboration with Project Teams
- Exceptional ability to lead and work under pressure; independently make decisions at the project team level and properly escalate those decisions that cannot be resolved on a timely basis
- Strong knowledge of data processing paradigms and associated tools and technologies such as DBT, Snowflake, and FiveTran
- Solid understanding of data governance, privacy, security, and compliance with experience implementing and , monitoring and continously improving data governance frameworks and practices
- Experienced in working closely with key stakeholders to help translate requirements into deliverables and agreed outcomes
- Ability to develop and implement strategic roadmaps that enhance data capabilities, reduce inefficiencies, and support business growth
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Qualified in a relevant discipline including:
Data Management, Data Governance, Data Analysis
