Introduction

The Director, Global Tax & Treasury is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance across the Optimizely group, including overseeing the US federal, state, other local taxes, sales tax, as well as foreign entity returns, which will be achieved through partnership with our tax partners across the world and supported by the local controllership teams. The Director is responsible for tax planning and optimizing the company’s tax structure, including transfer pricing and intellectual property. The role will also be responsible for treasury matters including optimizing cash balance usage, working with FP&A and controllers to effectively manage and forecast cashflows and requirements and maximising cash efficiency across the group.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads a team responsible for developing and delivering across multiple functional areas or teams, including policies, processes, short and long-term vision, strategy and strategies to increase group efficiency, productivity and impact​
  • May manage experienced individual contributors and / or multiple managers​
  • Monitors and ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements​
  • Accountable for full employee life cycle, including hiring, onboarding, goal alignment, work assignment, coaching / performance management, developing managers and addressing resource gaps​

Knowledge and Experience

  • Has 5+ years of leading a team in their field of expertise​
  • Manages complex issues that require an in-depth knowledge of the company, industry and / or function  ​
  • Applies broad knowledge of all areas within function
  • Interacts regularly with executives on strategic issues that impact the overall business  ​
  • Influences senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization ​
  • Demonstrates ability to seamlessly adjust from detailed to strategic view​

Education

Degree level education, or equivalent experience in global tax-related roles
